POKERHEADSTART

 Welcome to Pokerheadstart.

Here you will find all you need to make your poker experience a more profitable one.

I have been playing low stakes online poker for over 5 years now, and have helped a few friends to take advantage of what I have learnt along the way.

As beginners we all make mistakes, my biggest one was to use my own money rather than freerolls and no-deposit bonuses and learn to play for free with real money.

I was tempted by the huge deposit bonuses on offer out there, not realising that at low stakes they take forever and a day to clear.

Basically, the problem was that I hadn't played enough poker yet. I was still a ''FISH''. It didn’t take long for the ''SHARKS'' to get all my deposited money before I had played enough hands to receive the bonus. I had to deposit more and more because I was playing a ''losing'' game.

This went on for the first three months. There were days when I got lucky and won quite a lot, only to think ''I'm good at this'', raise the stakes to clear the bonus quicker, and lose it all back to the sharks.

But, like with most things in life, the more you do something, the better you get at it.

During those first three months I lost an average of £100 per week. It then took me another three months to win it all back and I have been playing a profitable game ever since.

All the time I was feeding the sharks I was learning from my mistakes. It really didn’t have to cost me over a grand to evolve from a fish to a shark.

The bottom line is you have to play a lot of hands to become a consistently good player. I had a bad start to my poker life due to lack of knowledge. If this site can help others to avoid wasting their hard earned cash, I'll be happy to have helped.

If you are a good player already, take a look at the rakeback (here) and sign up bonuses on offer (here) or with the page links to the left, there is a lot of money on offer there.

I have played in more poker sites than anyone I know.

There are pro's and con's in all of them. Some are a lot better for the beginner because they have more freerolls, less sharks (due to small prize pools), less players in general and don’t require deposit details before you can enter real money freerolls.

Once you have become less ''fishy'' and more of a shark, it's then time to concentrate on the best deposit bonuses, click here.
